How it works
National Breweries was the name of the lager division of Delta Corporation, which brews at Southerton in Harare and at Belmont in Bulawayo (the Sable Brewery, opened on 30 October 1950). Delta traces its lager business to the Salisbury Lager & Beer Company of 1898; it was Rhodesian Breweries from 1946 and Delta Corporation from 1978, and AB InBev holds about 40 per cent. Zambezi Lager, a premium brand pitched at tourists, was launched in May 1990 according to Delta's timeline (its product page says 1992). unverified info
